CHICKEN n CIGARETTES (1998)! "The saddest cartoon in the world!" says Scott Hinze of Fanboy Radio. This is one of my early cartoons. The video taken directly from a VHS tape of my pubic access TV show from the 90s.Grainy, dirty, no animation....everything you could expect and hope for from a Jim Lujan cartoon. Sit around the fire and enjoy this with your entire family (especially the ex-cons). This is what happens when lazy parents raise good kids. Enjoy!

Prison Love....10 Year Anniversary

Say whaaaa? Thats right! Its the 10 year anniversary for one of my first cartoons....PRISON LOVE (complete with Nissim themesong!). This was a staple on my public access TV show in the late 90s. It's the tear jerking story of Rolo and his prison yard girlfriend named Princess. A truly magical love story of epic scale. Think "Titanic" but in lock up and with corn rows. I'll be posting the cartoon on YouTube next week...the original crappy quality version. Good stuff. Just in time for Christmas! Re-live the magic that is Prison Love.

Jim Mahfood Doc

I guess this has been out for some time, I'm (as usual) coming late to the game. This is a short documentary on my friend Jim Mahfood , artist extraordinaire....extraordinarily gifted artist! Jim (along with Dave Crosland) was the first person I ever saw do live art. He's also the guy who showed me that you can use anything as a canvas...including Fed Ex boxes and junk mail. Paul and George; comic book nerds for life.

I am just about finished with my next short film; "Alphanerd". It is the touching tale of a comic book nerd that leads a double life as a defender of the night. He isn't quite up to snuff at the hero game. This short has a cameo from Paul and George (nerds from Mama I'm a Thug). The short should debut in the next week or so on YouTube. I'll post it here, too.

Also, really cool news: There will be a Jim Lujan (and Friends) Animated Film Fest in January. I'll be screening some of my cartoons and doing a Q & A at the event. Very cool! More details as they are confirmed.
