She applied for a waitress position at the very respected "HOOCHERS" restaurant establishment, but alas, her destiny spoke otherwise. Oh the unforgiving arrows of defeat.

Ride for Kids- Pediatric Brain Tumor event

Please take a second and click on the link above. Its a great cause and you'll be helping some great kids and loving families. Pediatric brain tumors are on the rise and in this age of the terrabyte, we should have a better handle on treatment....and we really don't. This is a great cause. CLICK HERE FOR JULIA's PAGE.

Calling All Riders! I'm told this is an incredible ride. If you like to ride, please participate in the event on Sunday, May 3rd. Last year there were 650 motorcycles in the Los Angeles ride! It is a non-stop, police excorted, 30-mile ride through the Pales Verdes Pennisula. The ride starts and ends at American Honda Motor Co. in Torrance. The L.A. event raised $274,855 last year.

Edge of LA pics

I was a vendor at the Edge of LA show in Claremont. Its kind of a mini Comic-Con. It was great getting out and mingling with all the various artists and patrons. The weather was beautiful and really sunny. Claremont is a really nice looking place to begin with , and the nice day made it even nicer. How nice. So nice. Aw....thats nice. This is my table. As you can see, Jim Lujan is a mighty animator and cartoonist. Thanks goes out to me for spelling my name right. You can see 2 of my acryllic paintings and 1 live art piece .

YO! T-Shirts for sale! Thats right. You can now wear my cartoons on your very persona!

Fellow animator/artist Raul Aguirre getting down Raul-style.

Javier Hernandez endorsing Starbucks and selling his comics (thanks for the coffee,Jav).

My blond rocker. Judas Priest was playing when I drew this. This guy was done at the end of the day when I was seeking out shade and shelter.

Gras Rodriguez doing some live art superhero character studies. Getting all technical on us!

Me tanned. All in all, a really fun day ( I sold a little, too!). We polished the day off with a dinner at the HAT. Mmmm pastramis! Great to hang with everybody, do some art, have some laughs, and enjoy the day. Can you say "worn out"?!

Pablo the Pool Boy

New cartoon. Enjoy the decadence. Enjoy the sophisticated animation.

Jesca Hoop Setlist

Last night we saw Jesca Hoop, one of my favorite singers, at the Hotel Cafe. Jesca's moving to Manchester, UK very soon and this was the next to last show in the US for awhile. We were about 10 feet from her. Very cool venue. The footage above is from a show she did at the Temple Bar. My friend, Bill, was smart enough to ask for the set list she had written on a napkin after she wrapped for the night. Very cool. Thanks Bill. He gave me one and we actually got a second for him. Her handwriting. Cool memento. Find more Jesca stuff HERE

Pet Shop Boys Tickets

This is the greatest day in this guy's life. No rhyme or reason behind this cartoon, although I do like the Pet Shop Boys. Come admit it, you do too.

Gettin' my LeBron On!

Before...

After the Sharpie magic has been added. This painting will be for sale at the Edge of LA comic Fest on April 18th at the Packing House in Claremont (or email me to make an offer). LeBron James is the best thing to happen to the NBA since high top sneakers. Just was inspired to do a little art in tribute sort of. Anyway...GO LAKERS! (I felt guilty, had to throw that in)
